Gordon sits down to order some food and orders the award winning Maryland Crab Cakes, he asks Mike what award they have won and he has no clue, he also orders salmon and zucchini pancakes. Gordon is surprised by the crab cakes as they are made using fresh crab meat but not impressed with the mouthful of glue pancakes or the garlic smothered salmon. Mike stands staring at Gordon whilst he eats and he has to ask him to leave, he also tells Gordon that there is no garlic in the dish even though there clearly is. Gordon meets Billy after his meal and tells him that the crab cakes were good but everything else was bad.
Gordon returns to witness the dinner service, there are few tables booked in and he is surprised to see that customers are using a coupon, he asks Mike about the coupon and he tells him that it gives customers 50% off, Gordon is shocked when he mishears it as 15% but when Mike tells him that it is really 50% he blows his top! They have been using the coupons for 8 years and Gordon realises that this is where they are losing their money. Mike also confesses to Gordon that there are some promotional signs that he had made too. None of the signs have been a success and was just a big waste of money, Gordon is most unimpressed by a huge orange banner advertising a free appetizer. After service, Gordon speaks to the owners and tells them that Billy shouldn't leave the managing to Mike. Lisa just wants to shut the restaurant down but Billy is committed to making the restaurant a success.
Gordon returns the next day with a wood chipper and destroys Mike's promotional signs. He speaks with the owners and shows them a map, when they first opened there were just 4 restaurants in the area, there are now 41! Gordon tells them that the only type of food missing in Bellmore is a healthy eating restaurant. Gordon presents Billy with 15 ingredients and challenges him to come up with a tasty, healthy dish and he will do the same. Kim comments that she hasn't seen Billy that fired up in the kitchen in a long time and both dishes that they create are put onto the menu. The dishes are a success at that evenings service but the waitresses aren't happy with Mike and it is revealed that he takes half of the tips. Overnight, the restaurant is given a makeover and the décor is changed. Gordon shows the staff the new menu, the heavily sauced dishes are gone and have been replaced with a healthy range of dishes. The team go onto the streets to promote the restaurant and a local football team, the New York Dragons are invited for dinner.
On relaunch night, Mike struggles from the onset, he has overbooked and customers are left waiting. Mike tries to blame Kim and she refuses to take the fall for him, the kitchen begins to struggle and Gordon shouts at Mike for just looking out for himself. The New York Dragons arrive and Mike has messed up again by not putting their reservation into the book. He explodes and shouts at Lisa in the dining room that he wasn't told that they were coming to dinner. Gordon tells him to go outside and cool off, telling Billy and Lisa that the biggest problem in the restaurant is Mike but Billy decides to give him a second chance. The customers love the food and despite the hiccups, the relaunch is a success.
What Happened Next? Over the next few weeks, the customer numbers were up as was profit, the restaurant hosted the first First Annual Mixing Bowl Mile fun run and Billy was leaving the kitchen during service to meet the customers. Gordon revisited and it looked like the restaurant was doing well, profits were up, Mike's management skills had improved and their marriage was better. However the restaurant closed in January 2009, in it's place now is Greek Delight, a Greek restaurant.
